Ultimaker S5 Print Core Caddy
Problem
When 3D printing I often have to switch between 0.4mm and 0.8mm print cores and returning the print core to it’s original box is tedious, and not really an appropriate long term storage solution..
Solution
I designed a ‘caddy’ that can attach to the printer and hold the spare print core(s) in a convenient and visible location.
Design
Single print core capacity reduces material consumption and enables scalability depending on the required amount of storage
Stick-on design allows the caddy to be placed anywhere on the printer or otherwise
Top cover reduces amount of particulate that could get into the print core
Angled design ensures the print core is secure
I put the AA and BB cores on their corresponding sides.
