Laser Cut Shoe Rack

Laser Cut Shoe Rack

I finally got fed up with the tiny store bought shoe rack that we got when we first moved in. It could barely fit anything bigger than a ballet slipper. This inspired me to create a larger shoe rack designed for laser cutting. Assembly is almost entirely fixture free apart from a few hidden screws at the rear. But I didn’t just make another shoe rack, I evolved the product by adding extra features including hall table functionality and rabbit tunnel. Yes, you read that right… It’s amazing what people will do for their pets.

Check out the video below for the full process from design to assembly. The files are all available online for you to download and try yourself in a link at the bottom of the page. If you watch closely, you’ll notice the 3D model is a little different to what I assemble; that’s because I’m making the first revision, with improvements made to the design before publishing. Not wanting to waste any material, I didn’t bother replacing the parts. It’s pretty normal to go through several product iterations, but because I’m impatient I normally just go with the first one.
